Job Title: Marketing Manager

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm Mon-Fri (flexible working with core hours 10am to 4.30pm)

Salary: £35,000-£42,000

Holiday: 25 days per annum + bank holidays

Healthcare: BUPA cover for employees and dependants

Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire, (London Zone 9, Metropolitan Line) HP5 1PS (currently remote working because of Covid-19)

Position Overview


We are looking to appoint a driven B2B Marketing Manager to join our team to help in our ambitious plans to scale up and grow over the next few years, focused on supporting organisations that do positive work.


The role is predominantly in-house. You need to be versatile, growth-minded, a fantastic communicator and a gifted copywriter.


You will also act as ‘brand guardian’, helping the wider company nail our tone of voice, and applying our revised brand look and feel to assets. Ability to write copy and some graphic skills, including putting together visually pleasing PowerPoint presentations, or other promotion material, is important.


You will also need to be able to work autonomously, develop a clear understanding of our audiences, objectives, and take ownership for delivery.


To start with this role will support upriseUP through an exciting rebrand, ensuring our new branding is consistently applied to our marketing initiatives. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, (90% of the initial requirements), and has the ability to think and plan strategically, (10%). The role will likely develop with increased autonomy over the strategy, and with the opportunity to grow into a Marketing Director position.


The successful applicant will have strong experience delivering thought leadership marketing to services businesses.



  • Develop upriseUP’s reputation as the ‘go to’ agency for digital media in socially positive organisations
  • Creative ownership of the new brand and its implementation throughout the company and its collateral
  • Manage brand experience
  • Identifying target sectors and customers
  • Manage the development of case studies, blog posts and other marketing collateral
  • Support client services team with client marketing
  • Lead on the curation of thought leadership material
  • Promote thought leadership material
  • Supporting personal branding for the senior management team
  • Identify speaking (events, podcasts, webinars) and networking opportunities
  • Create our own thought leadership events, roundtables and social events
  • Managing award and league table entries
  • Analysing, testing and reporting on the effectiveness/ ROI of all our marketing campaigns

Experience and Skills


  • Track record of B2B marketing success
  • Ability to create a content strategy
  • Copywriting
  • Communication and PR
  • Some experience working with graphics an advantage
  • Understanding marketing channels, and off-line
  • Managing CRM systems (such as HubSpot or Pipedrive)
  • Analysing data and taking learnings to improve performance
  • Owning and managing marketing budgets
