Job Title: SEO Assistant.

Clients: Charities and socially positive organisations.

Duration: Permanent.

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm Mon-Fri (flexible working with core hours 10am to 4pm).

Salary: £25,000 per annum plus bonus of up to 10% of salary.

Holiday: 35 days per annum inc. bank holidays. Increasing to 38 days inc. bank holidays after 2 years.

Health: BUPA family cover for permanent employees, free annual health check, free Headspace app.

FlexibilityHybrid working and flexible hours.

Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 1PS (on the Metropolitan Line outside London). Optional 2 days per week remote working.

Other perks: We enjoy getting together. We often attend industry conferences (like Brighton SEO), organise socials including countryside walks, do fun activities at Christmas, and on occasion we take everyone away (our summer party last year was in the Med, and this year we spent a weekend in the beautiful New Forest). We also offer a 4-week paid sabbatical every 5 years.

SEO Assistant Position Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in SEO and develop your content writing skills .

We are hunting for a graduate with strong English and copywriting to join our award-winning agency where you’ll be working with some fantastic clients including a number of well-known charities.

Reporting into the SEO Manager, you’ll join our team of data-driven digital marketing enthusiasts, supporting the delivery of SEO campaigns for our clients. 

Uprise Up have an excellent reputation in our industry and provide ‘best practice’ digital marketing seminars, workshops and training, both for our clients and at conferences. We are perfectly placed to offer a thorough training program for new joiners.

The Day-to-Day

  • Content writing, creating engaging informative web copy.
  • Keyword research and competitor analysis.
  • Technical SEO audits.
  • Use Google Analytics data to improve account performance.
  • Create client reports using Google Looker Studio.
  • Client communication and developing your account management skills.
  • Keep up to date with latest SEO news and trends, and highlight new opportunities for our clients.




  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • An ability to write in a clear and informed manner.
  • A passion for digital marketing.
  • A logical, problem solving mind-set.
  • Adaptability and versatility.
  • Great time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication.
  • IT literacy (especially on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint – knowledge of Google Suite is also desirable).
  • Provable mathematics skills.
  • Experience / skills in programming, JavaScript and digital marketing (especially Google Ads and PPC) are all an advantage, but not essential.
