Job Title: SEO Executive

Clients: Charities and socially positive organisations.

Duration: Permanent.

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm Mon-Fri (flexible working with core hours 10am to 4pm).

Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 plus bonus up to 10% of salary.

Holiday: 27 days per annum + bank holidays. Increasing to 30 days + bank holidays after 2 years.

Health: BUPA family cover for permanent employees, free annual health check, free Headspace app.

FlexibilityHybrid working and flexible hours.

Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 1PS (on the Metropolitan Line outside London). Optional 2 days per week remote working.

We often attend industry conferences (like Brighton SEO), we organise socials including countryside walks, do fun activities at Christmas, and on occasion we take everyone away (our summer party last year was in the Med, and this year we visited the beautiful New Forest). We also offer a 4-week paid sabbatical every 5 years.

SEO Executive Position Overview

Are you looking to build your career in SEO?  Maybe you have a relevant degree, or have been working in digital marketing, and are looking to specialise in SEO. Or perhaps you already enjoy working in SEO and would like to focus on doing so for an agency with purpose?

We are a B Corp certified digital media agency on the hunt for an SEO Executive who, with support from the SEO Manager, will be responsible for implementing SEO tactics across some fantastic clients, including a number of well-known charities.

You will have an inquisitive, problem solving mindset, a strong understanding of data, a keen eye for detail and a hunger to make the world a better place.

SEO Executive Role - Uprise Up Careers

The Day-to-Day



  • Understanding clients’ priorities and objectives.
  • Supporting the SEO Manager with opportunity analysis.
  • Working alongside the SEO Manager to develop strategies and roadmaps appropriate for clients.


Technical SEO

  • Reviewing websites and flagging opportunities for improvement.
  • Identifying technical quick wins to boost site performance.


Content SEO & Digital PR

  • Contributing to organic content strategies.
  • Performing keyword research and prioritising which keywords to focus on.
  • Optimising on-page content to maximise organic performance and adding additional content where necessary.
  • Performing keyword mapping to optimise or prune existing content, and suggesting strategic content to bridge gaps.
  • Creating content plans for clients to populate with specialist information.



  • Analysing and delivering monthly client SEO performance reports.
  • Identifying key performance trends and the effects of changes in search.
  • Using Google Analytics and Google Search Console to spot any changes in performance throughout the month and flag where necessary to the SEO Manager and client.


Client Communication

  • Living our key value by championing heartfelt camaraderie with all clients.
  • Communicating with clients via email, phone, video call and in person.
  • Responding to clients’ needs in a timely manner.
  • Transparency with clients, ensuring all data is accessible to them.




  • Enthusiasm and a passion for digital marketing, with experience of SEO.
  • A desire to learn and develop all areas of SEO.
  • The ability to understand client goals and objectives and keep these front of mind.
  • Being able to manage multiple clients, projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to be adaptable and versatile.
  • Understanding how SEO fits with other digital marketing channels and contributes to results.
  • Excellent written English and strong Maths.
  • Experience of working with charities, and programming skills are also both an advantage.
